Determining the age of your instrument
The
age of an instrument can be traced by the serial number of an instrument. The
piano makers attach an individual instrument number to every instrument and with
this serial number, in most cases, you can deduce the exact age of your
piano. You
will locate serial numbers most likely on the following spots:
stamped
on the iron frame,
on
the sound board, most often behind or near the bass strings,
inside
your upright piano on the upper left or right side
or
on the hammers
Please send me an email with the instrument makers name and the serial number. I'll answer as soon as possible. This service is free of charge!
